Lalu Clan Clash Erupts

National News: In the Bihar assembly elections, the challenge for the leader of the opposition in the assembly and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav is not only from the BJP and Nitish Kumar's party, JDU, but also his elder brother and party member Tej Pratap Yadav, who is creating new problems for him every day. Tej Pratap Yadav, who has been expelled from the party and family, is making every move to fight for his political existence, and his move can spoil the political game of Tejashwi Yadav.

Tej Pratap Yadav's political battle with Lalu Prasad and Tejashwi Yadav began when the former Bihar minister was expelled from the party for six years on May 25 over his "relationship" with a woman. However, he later deleted the social media post and claimed that his page was "hacked."

Tej Pratap Blames Family Rift

Lalu Prasad had severed ties with Tej Pratap due to his "irresponsible behavior." After being expelled from the party, Tej Pratap had accused Jaichand of creating a rift between him and his younger brother, Tejashwi Yadav, and being behind the conspiracy. After this, he unfollowed his sisters on social sites.

Tej Pratap Forms New Alliance

He gave an open challenge to RJD by announcing he would contest the election as an independent candidate from his former assembly constituency, Mahua, and now, going a step further, he has announced an alliance with five small parties of the state—Bhojpuriya Jan Morcha (BJM), Vikas Vanchit Insaan Party (VVIP), Samyukta Kisan Vikas Party (SKVP), Pragatisheel Janata Party (PJP), and Wajib Adhikar Party (WAP)—in the next assembly elections.

Small Alliance, Big Political Blow

Although the political parties with which Tej Pratap Yadav has announced an alliance have very little public support, political experts say that this could be enough to spoil Tejashwi Yadav's game, because Tej Pratap Yadav is also talking about social justice, social rights, and complete change in Bihar. He is not directly attacking Tejashwi Yadav but is accusing him of plotting against him by using words like "Jaichand."

Along with this, he also invites RJD and Congress to join the alliance. He says that RJD and Congress can join us if they want. Like RJD and Congress, he is rejecting any kind of alliance with BJP. He says that I have ideological differences with them. I cannot deviate from my principles. Social justice is my path, and I understand how it should be adopted.

Is Tej Pratap following Owaisi's path?

In the current political context, it seems that Tej Pratap Yadav is following the path of Asaduddin Owaisi's party, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM). Owaisi's party had earlier written a letter to the RJD leadership to join the grand alliance, but when no response was received from RJD, AIMIM started the exercise of forming a third front in Bihar, but even before AIMIM could form a third front, Tej Pratap Yadav had announced his own alliance. In such a situation, the contest in this election is likely to be important.

Bihar Battle Sees Four Fronts

On one side, NDA is in the fray with Nitish Kumar and BJP; on the other side, there is a grand alliance of Congress, RJD, Left parties, and Mukesh Sahni's party; the third alliance is of Tej Pratap Yadav, and the fourth alliance has started to be formed under the leadership of Owaisi's party, AIMIM.

AIMIM Plans Post-Independence Alliance

Bihar AIMIM President Akhtarul Iman, while talking to media, said that after 15th August they will announce a separate alliance. He said which parties will be included in this alliance. It will be revealed at that time. In the last assembly elections also, an alliance was made with the Rashtriya Lok Samta Party, BSP, Samajwadi Party Janata Dal (Democratic), Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, and Janwadi Party Socialist.

Focus on Muslims, Dalits, and backwards

In this way, the votes of all these opposition parties are from Muslims, Dalits, backward and other backward classes, and if many alliances of opposition party leaders are formed, then somewhere it will lead to division of anti-BJP and JDU votes, and this will harm the grand alliance, and the BJP and the Nitish Kumar-led NDA are likely to benefit from this.

Tejashwi Holds Political Upper Hand

However, many political experts are not ready to give much importance to Tej Pratap Yadav's alliance, because till now Tej Pratap Yadav has not been able to prove himself politically mature like Tejashwi Yadav, and Lalu Prasad's resentment towards him is also not in his favor. Lalu Prasad has declared Tejashwi Yadav as his successor.

In such a situation, if there is a contest between Tejashwi and Tej Pratap in Bihar politics, then Tejashwi Yadav is likely to benefit from it. Politically also, he has a mass base and old parties like Congress and Left parties with him, which will further increase his confidence.
